That robot vacuum you’ve been eyeing may now be banned in the U.S. — here’s what you need to know

Robots are having a moment with the federal government — and it’s not all positive. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently announced a ban on foreign-made advanced mobile robots, a category that covers a ton of different types of robots. And while you probably don’t have a walking, talking robot in your living room yet, you might have something else the ban touches: a robot vacuum.
