Actor David Burke, known for role as Dr Watson in Sherlock Holmes series, dies
On Friday, Burke’s agent Scott Marshall Partners said the actor had died on May 10 and was survived by his wife Anna Calder-Marshall and son Tom Burke.

Teenager’s family ‘heartbroken’ by meningitis death
A teenage boy who died after contracting meningitis has been described as “funny and kind hearted” by his family. Lewis Waters, a sixth-form pupil at The Henley College in Oxfordshire, died earlier this week. Posting a tribute on Facebook, his family said they were “devastated” and “words simply can’t describe the heartbreak and upset we’re going through”.

2 dead after plane crashes into Ohio home
Two people were killed when a plane crashed into a residence in Akron, Ohio, on Thursday afternoon, local and federal authorities said. The victims were on the plane, and no one inside the home reported injuries, Akron police said. Calls about the crash began coming in just before 4 p.m., police said.
